Description

A folding knife designed for mushroom hunters. The ergonomic handle is made of varnished beech wood. The characteristically shaped head (7 cm long ) is made of stainless and modified Sandvik 12C27 steel. Its blade provides very good cutting properties. The knife is equipped with the Virobloc locking system-it locks the blade in the open or closed state. There is a scraping perforation on the back of the blade.
At the end of the ergonomic handle is a boar bristle for pre-cleaning the leg and hat of the mushroom.

Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel patented by Opinel is renowned for its ease of maintenance. Similar in chemical composition and mechanical properties to type 440A. Thanks to heat treatment, it has good hardness. The carbon content of the steel is at least 0.40%, which allows for a very satisfactory cut and is not susceptible to corrosion.
